![]() From the graphics improvements to the game's REMASTERED version, there are more user-friendly elements in the game, also new contents that we haven't seen in the original Rome: Total War. So, it also means they're changing artificial intelligence. Total War: Rome REMASTERED appears to be a completely new game that was not released as an improvement over the original Rome: Total War. I mean it!However, the game has its advantages, too. The only bad thing about the REMASTERED version is the AI, and it is bad, really bad. Sometimes they are acting like I'm not giving the order them to do something. In the REMASTERED version, both the campaign map and battle AI are disgraceful at least that's how I experienced it. However, I prefer the AI of Rome: Total War to the AI of Total War: Rome REMASTERED. Otherwise, you will be grievously disappointed.Although there are new elements and improvements, naturally, there are mostly improvements without going beyond graphic enhancement. However, I would like to point out that the game is Remaster, not Remake. If you are a true Total War fan and would like to have Total War: Rome REMASTERED in your library, you can buy it and play it. There are various broad types of units to choose from, each with their own stats (ie: infantry, ranged infantry, cavalry, siege etc.). Units can be ordered in various ways to move and attack, in an effort to defeat the enemy. Armies are broken into units which can be controlled individually or as a combination. Players control their army in real time against their opponent, in a 3D map environment. These result from the movement and clash of armies on the campaign map. ![]() This is done through a combination of military (moving and positioning armies across a map) and non-military strategies (which can be achieved via trade & diplomacy, and/or by deploying agents to uncover information about rivals).Ģ) The Battles – there are real time 3D land battles with a high level of graphical realism. The aim on the campaign map is to take territory from other factions and dominate the map. Gameplay takes place on an accurate representation of ancient Rome and surrounding countries and is divided into two core elements.ġ) The Campaign map – This is a turn-based campaign map in which the player is able to recruit and train troops, manage cities & towns through building, progresses through technologies, engage in diplomacy, start wars in order to achieve domination over other competing factions.
